Chain link is the working fence of North Brevard: the lowest cost per foot (about $15–$28 galvanized installed), the fastest install, and the right answer when what you need is a boundary and containment, not a view block. Dog runs in Port St. John, side yards in Mims, ballfields, storage yards and commercial lots along US-1 — chain link does more quiet work here than every other fence combined.
Near the coast, specification matters: standard galvanized fabric rusts faster in our salt air, so for river-side and beachside-adjacent lots we recommend vinyl-coated fabric (about $18–$30/ft) or aluminized mesh, steel posts set in concrete, and tension wire at the bottom so dogs can't push out underneath.
Titusville and Brevard County both cap residential fences at 6 feet and front-yard fences at 4 — chain link's openness doesn't exempt it. HOAs in La Cita and Royal Oak generally prohibit chain link entirely; outside HOA areas it's the budget benchmark every other fence gets compared against on our cost calculator.
